Glass Christmas ornaments are a synonym of magic we cannot imagine Christmas without. Colourful, shimmering with a million sparkles, they have extraordinary power to create atmosphere. They create a wonderful mood, evoke beautiful memories and make adults become children while children immerse themselves in excitement, sharing the most beautiful emotions. Baubles can enchant anyone with no exception.
Extravagant Christmas ornaments — a history of generations
The first traditional baubles were created as early as in the 16th century. They used what nature shared — apples and other fruits, home-made cookies, gifts of the forest or nuts. Although their appearance did not resemble today’s ones, they adorned Christmas trees and brought a lot of joy. Over the years, the art evolved, and lovers of beauty wondered how to add glamour and elegance to baubles, and so in the 19th century, the manufacture of the first glass baubles began in the German town of Lauscha.
Our history, although we can boast long-standing experience, does not reach that far back. From the beginning, however, we have remained faithful to tradition and all our luxury Christmas tree ornaments are made exactly as they were in the olden days.
Luxury glass baubles — how do we create these small works of art?
Exclusive Christmas tree ornaments are small, unique trinkets. In IMPULS, we cultivate traditional handicraft and take care of every detail. Each and every consecutive step is the work of human hands. There is no place for hurry or mass production here.
Elegant Christmas baubles — unique designs
Each bauble is created on the basis of a sketch developed by an artist — an idea for a bauble. The designs approved during a team brainstorming session are passed to the sculptor. Then he, with the utmost care for detail reproduction, prepares special models.
Traditional glass baubles — moulds
The refined models go to the next specialist who, working as craftsmen used to do in olden times, casts a mould using a liquid metal alloy. This is how a final “master mould” is made.
Premium glass Christmas tree ornaments — blown baubles
At the next station, armed with a mould, glass, special tubes of tempered soda-lime glass and fire, the blower can go on to blowing the baubles. Our specialist places a melted glass in a mould, and then, using the power of their lungs, through a thin tube blows glass which takes on the desired shape. This is by no means a simple task and certainly requires immense experience, feeling and precision.
The most beautiful baubles — tempering
To make sure that our premium Christmas tree ornaments are of the highest quality, freshly formed baubles are reheated and tempered again. This makes them less prone to cracking, more durable and long-lasting.
Hand-painted Christmas ornaments — decorating
We rinse all baubles, cover them with liquid silver and dry thoroughly. During the painting stage the silver-plated “background” allows us to obtain extraordinary depth of colours and a unique glow. Then the unique ornaments go to the workstations of talented artisans who hand-decorate each bauble. Paints, colourful varnishes, sparkling glitter, the thinnest brushes — painting is an extremely precise stage that makes each decoration unique and different. So that every decoration is made with heart and soul and infinite layers of imagination.
Colourful hand-decorated baubles — it's time to hit the road
When the Christmas tree ornaments are dry, they are ready for packaging. They go into cardboard window boxes lined with soft, shock-absorbing material. Then they are ready to hit the road to add charm to Christmas trees and fill your homes with festive magic.
Premium glass Christmas tree ornaments — only for a Christmas tree?
Of course IMPULS Christmas ornaments decorate Christmas trees, but they are not the only ones that they are intended for. Glass baubles are perfect as occasional souvenirs, gifts and heartfelt personalised presents.
The extraordinary collections of baubles that have found a place in our long-standing portfolio are original, great but small works of art that are created for various occasions. For example, company gifts, wedding gifts, gifts for christenings, travel gifts, national symbols, gifts related to cooking, birthdays and many more which you can choose freely from.
